Responding to Sameday Job Alerts
Sameday Job Alerts come through as an instant email notification as soon as the customer has asked for a quote advising you of potential jobs we have.
On your profile you will be able to set the area in which you would like to receive the job notifications and change this at any time by editing your profile.
We strongly advise you have a phone which can receive ‘push email’ and have internet browsing capability such as an iphone / Blackberry type device or you will be unable to operate our system.
If you receive a work alert and are in a position to do the job, it’s really simple to apply. Click the link in the email. This will take you to a page where you can enter your ETA to the collection postcode – Please be honest and realistic about your ETA time. An inaccurate ETA makes you look unprofessional and also result in unhappy customers and cancelled jobs.
Once you have ‘registered availability’ for the job it means we have your ETA in our system and will be able to consider you for the job.
Jobs are allocated on who has given their availability first and if they can reach the collection point for the required collection time, not who can do it for the cheapest price. Everything is paid at a set percentage rate. We will handle the quotations, job booking and payment.
One of our courier controllers will then allocate the job. If you are successful you will receive a call from our courier controllers and then an email with all the job information on.
You will be able to click into the link on this email to see the full details of the job – Including full collection and delivery addresses and delivery times also details of the goods.
If a job you have applied for is allocated to another driver you will receive an email to inform you.
You can also log in with your user name and password to view the work available on the website – The jobs that are emailed to you are limited to the area you select and the jobs viewable on the site are show on a national basis. To view the jobs click on ‘Current > Sameday’ to view the Sameday jobs and ‘Current > Economy’ to view the Economy jobs.
